Updated: Nov 1, 2020

Traveling alone is something that scares many people. But why? Traveling solo means having the opportunity to take risks, to reflect, to be alone with yourself. Without being constantly called upon by your colleagues, friends, or family, you can have time for yourself and start a major introspection. By leaving your comfort zone, you also increase your chances of having unique experiences and taking responsibility by being able to rely only on yourself. It can be scary, but it's actually a very good way to gain self-confidence while developing your skills! Traveling alone offers many advantages. Do you want to go alone, but still hesitate? Let yourself be convinced by these 6 advantages:

1. Traveling alone is absolute freedom Traveling alone means that you can choose the time of your breakfast, how much money you spend, how long you want to visit a museum, where you are going ... In short: you decide your route and ignore anyone. You don't have to compromise; you do what you want! This is what we mean by absolute freedom.

2. You get to know new friends “Traveling alone “does not necessarily mean that you are alone all the time. Quite the contrary: by being alone, you are more accessible and you meet new people much faster than if you are traveling with someone else. Staying in youth hostels and frequenting local bars will undoubtedly help you. Approaching girls is another option, haha soaking up the culture of a country involves meeting its people. And who knows maybe you will meet other globetrotters who, like you, have decided to embark on a solo journey. If usually, disputes are difficult to avoid during the holidays, whether as a couple or with friends, there you will be quiet, nobody is going to disturb you.

3. Get to know Yourself... By going on vacation alone, you not only get to know other people: you also get to know yourself better. You don't know what you want? Are you facing an important decision in your life? If you are traveling alone, you will see the situation from a different angle than from home. This way you will be able to better judge what you want or don't want. There is only one way to know yourself: to travel alone.

4. You will experience everything more intensely On vacation, you enjoy the present moment more than if you are at home. And by traveling alone, you benefit more. You take advantage of each moment more consciously and pay more attention to details. Your senses are sharper and offer you a great vacation experience!

5. Traveling alone, a boost for your self-confidence At the start of your vacation, you may not feel like it, but traveling alone gives your self-confidence a boost. You have organized everything and made a great trip. In addition to that, you step out of your comfort zone, which makes you realize that you can manage much more than you actually thought of.
